Emilie Steinman, a 13-year-old freshman at Corona del Mar High in California, placed second in a White Division varsity race in 18:14.6 at the 42nd Woodbridge Cross Country Classic presented by ASICS America at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, Calif. Steinman and senior teammate Melissa Djombe Enyawe took the top two spots for Corona del Mar. The course measured closer to a 5-kilometer distance than the reported 3-mile layout.
